Site Engineer
Who we are
P.P. O'Connor were established in 1960 and are a leading force in the construction industry specialising in civil engineering including bulk earthworks, soil stabilisation, site remediation, general civil engineering, demolition and deconstruction, sustainable disposal and aggregate supply.
We are based in Trafford Park Manchester and operate in the Northwest of England and Greater Manchester areas.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our Civils team with previous similar experience and responsible for the accurate setting‑out, surveying and ensuring works are delivered to specification and associated quality control systems & documentation.
Typical main duties include:
- Setting out and survey works in line with drawings and specification.
- Raising Technical Queries
- Communicate setting‑out requirements clearly to site teams
- Prepare and plan ahead using the project programme
- Carry out final surveys and compile as‑built records
- Compile material take‑offs and material usage reconciliation checks
Requirements
- Previous experience in earthworks surveying and volumetric calculations, roads and sewers, utility infrastructure, reinforced concrete substructures.
- Control of GPS enabled plant (Leica)
- Proficiency in AutoCad and LSS surveying software
