Responsibilities
- Serve drinks to customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age in accordance with licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock supplies and ensure all beverages are prepared according to standard recipes
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards diligently
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
- Provide friendly advice on drink selections and promote special offers when appropriate
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous bar experience
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours
- A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards is advantageous but not mandatory
