Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shunting containers from London Gateway port into our depot in Corringham
Responsibilities
- Shunting a variety of cargo- using Skeleton Trailers and Low loaders
- Cargo will a good mixture of Containers, Flatracks with out of gauge cargo on
- Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Follow all company policies regarding safety and compliance during transportation activities.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Commercial Driver or Delivery Driver is essential.
- Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
- A valid HGV licence is required, along with a clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
