We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Team Leader / Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of our Supported Living and Floating Support services across Bristol.
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead and support a dedicated team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care while promoting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service.
- Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop a team of Support Workers.
- Foster a positive, inclusive culture that promotes dignity, independence, and respect.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide management support when required.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and performance management.
Service Delivery
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred support is delivered in line with individual support plans.
- Support individuals to develop life skills, maintain tenancies, access education, employment, and participate in their local communities.
- Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and company policies.
- Carry out audits, observations, and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards.
Care Planning & Compliance
- Support the assessment, review, and development of person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant record keeping.
- Oversee safe medication practices and compliance with medication policies.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns are recognised, reported, and managed appropriately.
Staff Development
- Conduct regular supervision sessions and competency assessments.
- Identify training needs and support staff development.
- Encourage reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Partnership Working
- Develop positive working relationships with the people we support, families, commissioners, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other partner agencies.
- Attend reviews, meetings, and professional forums as required.
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Working towards, or willing to complete, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
- Experience within Supported Living, Floating Support, or Adult Social Care.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
- Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and person-centred practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).
Desirable
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex behaviours.
- Experience in quality assurance, audits, and service development.
