Simpsons Skoda is looking for a motivated PDI & Used Car Preparation Technician to join our newly relocated Preparation Centre at Walton Summit.
Whether you’re an experienced technician looking to develop your skills or an unaccredited technician ready to take the next step, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a main dealer environment with full manufacturer training, career development and a clear progression pathway.
Our new Preparation Centre has been fitted out with new vehicle lifts and modern equipment, providing an excellent working environment and the tools you need to do your job to the highest standard.
You’ll also have access to the same Skoda manufacturer training provided to technicians at our Preston and Colne dealerships.
The Role
As a PDI & Used Car Preparation Technician, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring they are safe, reliable and ready for our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Diagnosing faults and completing repairs to manufacturer standards
- Completing PDI and used vehicle preparation work
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
- Keeping up to date with manufacturer training, technical information and bulletins
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Delivering high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and keen to develop their career.
You will ideally have:
- Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification
- A full UK driving licence
- Around 3 years’ relevant repair and maintenance experience
- A strong interest in developing your technical skills
- A commitment to high standards of workmanship and safety
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- The ambition to progress within a main dealer environment
