Overview
St David Recruitment is supporting a client in the print and communications sector in recruiting an experienced HR & Payroll Administrator to join the Finance team.
The role combinesHR administration and end-to-end payroll responsibilities, including accurate and timely processing of two payrolls using Moorepay, PAYE and National Insurance submissions to HMRC, and pension contributions.
The successful candidate will also support the Group HR Manager with HR activities, employee lifecycle processes, projects and wider business initiatives,working closely with managers, employees and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be highly accurate, confidential, professional and organised, with a strong commitment to providing an effective and responsive HR and payroll service.
HR & Payroll Administration
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, starter/leaver documentation and contractual variations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Support onboarding, recruitment administration, probation reviews and the full employee lifecycle, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records.
- Conduct DBS checks and provide timely HR administrative support to managers and the Group HR Manager.
- Process two monthly payrolls using Moorepay, ensuring accurate and timely processing of overtime, holiday pay, statutory payments, deductions, salary changes and other adjustments.
- Complete payroll checks, reconciliations and reporting, ensuring accurate PAYE, National Insurance and pension submissions and payments within statutory deadlines.
- Respond to employee and manager payroll queries, resolving issues or escalating where appropriate.
- Support month-end, year-end and statutory payroll activities, including P11Ds, audits and management reporting.
- Maintain effective HR and payroll controls, identify process improvements and support HR/payroll projects and business initiatives.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum five years’ payroll processing experience, with payroll system experience; Moorepay desirable.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, HMRC requirements and statutory processes.
- HR administration experience in a professional environment.
- CIPD Qualification
- Strong Excel, IT, analytical and data-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
