Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Lead Designer with a minimum of 5 years Tekla experience to work with our design team, developing innovative and compliant solutions. You will ensure designs meet client specs, regulatory standards, and quality requirements while supporting project teams with technical leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design development for assigned projects ensuring quality and compliance.
- Manage and coordinate Advanced Designers and Steel Designers.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and installation teams for efficient designs.
- Review and approve drawings and design documents before submission.
- Resolve design conflicts and technical challenges during detailing.
- Present design solutions in internal and client meetings.
- Mentor junior design team members and promote best practices.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations and internal standards.
- Maintain and improve design processes and checklists.
- Manage RFIs to clarify design information.
- Support document control with file management and version control.
- Participate in project reviews and design risk assessments.
- Uphold Steel Build’s core values and design standards.
