Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus alternate Saturday mornings and breakdown cover on a rota basis

About Us
G Crook & Sons Tyreworld is looking for an experienced and motivated Tyre Fitter / Mobile Tyre Technician to join our growing team.
As well as maintaining our own fleet of vehicles, we provide tyre fitting and repair services for a wide range of customers, including private motorists, commercial van operators, high-performance vehicle owners, 4x4 enthusiasts, and motorcyclists.
We also operate a fully equipped mobile tyre fitting service, providing roadside, workplace, and home tyre repairs and replacements across the local area using our specialist tyre fitting vehicle.

The Role
Working both in our depot and out on the road, you will be responsible for fitting, repairing, inspecting, and replacing tyres on a wide variety of vehicles. You will also provide mobile tyre services and participate in an out-of-hours breakdown rota.
The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, able to deliver excellent customer service, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Fit, repair, and replace tyres on cars, vans, motorcycles, and light commercial vehicles
- Carry out roadside, workplace, and home tyre repairs using our fully equipped mobile service vehicle
- Participate in the out-of-hours breakdown and emergency call-out rota
- Safely operate tyre fitting, wheel balancing, and specialist workshop equipment
- Inspect tyres and advise customers on repair or replacement requirements
- Complete all job documentation and paperwork accurately
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and at all times when required
- Communicate effectively with the Depot Manager and wider team
- Deliver excellent customer service both in the workshop and on-site
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in car and van tyre fitting and repairs
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and professional approach to work
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently

- Motorcycle tyre fitting experience
- Commercial vehicle tyre fitting experience
- Mobile tyre fitting experience
- Breakdown and emergency call-out experience
- Wheel alignment and balancing knowledge
