Job Specification – Stores Person
Department: Stores / Production
Employment: Full Time – 39 hours per week
Salary: £25,500 – £28,500 per annum, dependent on experience
Holiday: 28 days per year
Role Overview
To efficiently manage the receipt, storage, control and issue of electronic components, materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely supply to the PCB manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities
· Receive and check incoming components and materials against purchase orders and delivery notes.
· Correctly identify, label and store electronic components in accordance with company procedures.
· Maintain accurate stock records within the company MRP/stock control system.
· Pick and issue components and materials to production against authorised requirements.
· Monitor stock levels and report shortages, discrepancies and obsolete components.
· Assist with regular stock checks and annual stocktaking.
· Ensure components are stored appropriately, including ESD-sensitive and moisture-sensitive devices.
· Maintain a clean, organised and safe stores area.
· Package and prepare finished products or components for dispatch.
· Follow company Health & Safety, quality, ESD and security procedures.
· Liaise with Purchasing, Production and Quality departments to resolve stock issues.
Skills & Experience
· Previous stores, warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
· Good attention to detail and accuracy.
· Basic computer skills and willingness to learn MRP/stock control systems.
· Ability to identify and handle electronic components would be advantageous.
· Good organisational and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12:30pm
Total: 39 hours per week
Salary & Benefits
