Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join the brigade at our established 4-star hotel and 2 AA Rosette restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary skills while working alongside an experienced and supportive team committed to producing high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Whether you are starting your career or have some kitchen experience and are looking to progress, this role offers excellent training and development within a professional kitchen environment.
The Role
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of dishes to the high standards expected within a 2 AA Rosette kitchen.
- Work alongside the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef and Head Chef to ensure smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
- Learn and develop skills across different sections of the kitchen.
- Help with food preparation, stock rotation, food storage and waste management.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety standards at all times.
- Support the wider kitchen team and contribute to a positive, professional working environment.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous kitchen experience is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for cooking and high-quality food.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a professional kitchen.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen best practices.
