Printer Graphics is looking for a young individual (College leaver) to fulfill a full-time entry level role in both our studio and production departments.
We are looking for someone who is hard working and interested in the print and signage industry to take on the role as an art worker and digital print press operator/finisher.
You should be enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills while also building upon existing ones. You will be required to use IT equipment such as computers/machines & their related software.
Prepping artwork files and operating our small format digital printing and finishing machines.
You will need to be a fast and keen learner. Knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop is preferred but not necessary. On the job training will be provided.
Machine operation and software training will be given on a job by job basis.
Your studio responsibilities include:
- Organizing digital files
- Reviewing/setting up artwork files for print based on job specs
- Answering and screening incoming phone calls
- Communicating with customers
- Using adobe suite software and custom workflow scripts
- Troubleshooting artwork issues
Your production responsibilities include:
- Understanding production proofs
- Imposing artwork files
- Operating RIP software & machine setup and operation
- Troubleshooting & maintaining machines and finishing equipment
- Organizing stock
- Finishing jobs to a high standard of quality
- Packing jobs & booking in deliveries
Pay: £23,400.00-£25,000.00 per year
