LGV Driver Trainer / Instructor
Location: Lincoln & Grimsby
Start Date: Early September 2026
Hours: Monday–Friday, typically 7:30am–5:00pm
Salary: Competitive pay + monthly bonus
Weekend Work: Occasional
About the Role
Denby Transport is looking for an experienced LGV Driver Trainer / Instructor to join our team from early September 2026.
You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality LGV driver training, helping candidates develop their knowledge, skills and confidence to become safe, competent drivers.
We’re looking for someone who is patient, calm, approachable and adaptable, with the ability to tailor their training style to suit different learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver LGV driver training and instruction to a high standard
- Adapt training to suit individual candidates
- Support learners in developing their driving skills and confidence
- Maintain a professional, positive and supportive training environment
- Work in line with RTITB-accredited training standards
- Deliver training across Lincoln and Grimsby
- Assist with other duties across the business when required
Requirements
- Qualified and experienced LGV Instructor / Driver Trainer
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient and supportive approach
- Ability to work with candidates of different abilities and confidence levels
- Professional attitude and a genuine interest in developing others
- Flexible approach to the role
Forklift Truck Instructor / Trainer qualifications would be an advantage but are not essential.
