Job Summary
Shortridge Laundry has been providing linen-hire and laundry services to customers within the tourism and hospitality business since 1845.
We are seeking to recruit a reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic delivery driver who cares about delivering great service to our customers.
The successful candidate will have a 7.5t UK driving license (no more than 3 penalty points), you must be presentable, organized, physically fit to be able to manually load and unload bags/cages.
You must have up to Date CPC and DQC cards.
Key tasks /main duties include:
Daily maintenance and safety checks.
Driving company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.
Collecting and delivering multiple bags, in a friendly and courteous manner.
Loading and unloading your vehicle at the start and finish of each shift.
All paperwork must be completed daily.

Please note this is a manual job, a good level of health & fitness would be beneficial.

Requirements
- Driving 1 year (Preferred)
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with relevant experience in commercial driving
- Proven delivery driver experience, ideally with multi-drop routes
- Experience with flatbed vehicles is advantageous but not essential
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with road regulations
- Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
