We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optical Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of optical principles and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. As a dispenser, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select the right eyewear and ensuring their vision needs are met with precision and care.

Duties
- Assist patients in selecting suitable eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs.
- Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses to ensure proper alignment and comfort.
- Provide detailed information about lens options, coatings, and frame styles to enhance patient understanding.
- Perform laboratory tasks such as edging lenses and assembling eyewear.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage inventory of optical products.
- Collaborate with optometrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest trends in eyewear fashion and advancements in optical technology.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an independent practice is preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the eye and vision.
- Familiarity with laboratory processes involved in eyewear production is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for managing patient records and inventory.
