About the Role
Willstac Home Care is looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Senior Support Practitioner to join our team in Dumfries.
You will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their dignity, independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
As a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance and support to other care staff and assist the Service Manager in maintaining safe, effective and consistent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care and support in accordance with individual care plans.
- Support with personal care, medication, meal preparation and daily living activities.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
- Support individuals to attend appointments and participate in community activities.
- Provide guidance and support to Support Practitioners.
- Assist with care plans, risk assessments and monitoring the quality of care.
- Maintain accurate care records and report concerns or changes in people's needs.
- Support new staff through induction, shadowing and workplace guidance.
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues and other professionals.
- Support safeguarding and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
- Uphold the SSSC Codes of Practice and maintain professional standards.
