Todd-Doors, the UK’s leading supplier of quality timber doors, are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Northolt. This is a physically demanding role that involves heavy lifting on a daily basis and working as part of a busy warehouse team.
You’ll support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring the smooth running of daily operations, from receiving deliveries to preparing outgoing orders, while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Applicants must be professional and motivated individuals who possess both a valid Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Licence with experience.
Reports to: Warehouse Manager based at our Northolt warehouse UB5 5QS
Hours: Mon-Sat (5 days per week), mainly 06:30-16:00 (Start between 05:00-09:00 - Finish between 14:30-18:30), 8.5 hours per day
Salary: £32,708.00pa (£14.80ph)
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Receive deliveries via handballing and Counter balance, following company procedures.
- Arrange returns for incorrect or damaged goods, complete return notes, and inform the office about the issues
- Prepare and check outgoing deliveries using Reach truck, pick, strap, and secure pallets for transportation.
- Load vans for daily deliveries using Counterbalance truck
- Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse and yard area.
- Report any warehouse-related issues (e.g., roller shutters, forklifts, lighting) to your Line Manager or Supervisor.
- Keep all paperwork accurate and easy to follow.
- Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report any faults.
- Follow all company systems, processes, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Support with training and development of new team members.
- Be flexible with start times and willing to work overtime when needed to complete daily workloads.
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance forklift license (essential)
- Valid Reach forklift license (essential)
- Minimum 2 years of warehouse experience
- Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Basic Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
Pay: £32,708.00 per year
