Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team.
You will be joining an existing team of 10, alongside an existing Decorator. This is a heritage building, new build experience will be of little use. The majority of work includes:
- Preparing timber on completion of joinery work for painting;
- Priming, undercoating and finish coating all timber items;
- Primarily painting in Farrow & Ball Dead Flat and Flat Eggshell finishes
- Occasionally, full prep to finish coat in both distemper and natural paint (over lime plaster) and modern estate emulsion paints (over modern plaster);
- Staining and sealing of floors;
- Colour matching.
- Wallpapering and application of both lining paper and insulated moisture resistant backing
Additional valued skills:
- Rag-rolling
- Faux marbling
- Gilding / gold leaf application
You should have your own personal hand equipment, large items are provided but you must have your own essential equipment and be ready to work.
This is a physically demanding role in a large and complex building.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
