We're looking for a Sales Manager to manage the sale of partnerships for our portfolio of world class conferences, communities and awards, events and media partnerships.
Reporting to the Partnerships Director, the Partnerships Manager will be primarily reponsible for helping to recruit paying members and partners for AIMM Forum, a new AI-focused community aimed at the world's leading marketers.
The role will also overlap with FutureWeek, an AI-focused trade publication and its related events focusing on 'AI in media & marketing', which is one of the hottest and most exciting industries on the planet right now.
Our company also has a publication focused on video & TV advertising, and there might be occasions where you'll have the opportunity to work on that title too.
Our various event brands are supported by our trade publication, and are a blend of conferences, awards, occasional social events and luxurious executive getaways in places like Barcelona, Florence, Lisbon and San Sebastian.
Our industry is smart, social and is a also lot of fun, whilst also being one of the fastest-growing areas of media and advertising.
You will work from our office in Farringdon in a small team that is friendly, supportive and close-knit, and we take pride in delivering the best events in the industry. We are currently working in a hybrid model with approximately three days at home and two in the office, although additional days may be required for in-person meetings, events etc.
Your Qualities
The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for securing new sponsorship and membership revenue for international events, communities and content.
You will be partly responsible for sourcing leads and you will be highly ambitious, commercial with high communication skills and experience in B2B sales.
Experience in selling event or community partnerships is desirable but not absolutely essential. Understanding the media & advertising ecosystem, AI, ad tech and/or martech would also be helpful but we're mostly focused on the right candidate.
The Responsibilities:
- Build trustworthy, strong long-lasting relationships throughout our client base, finding them the best solutions. Trust is essential and something we need to maintain with clients to deliver optimal value.
- Attend events with a view to generating new leads.
- Build a pipeline of new leads via your own prospecting.
- Identify new business opportunities.
- Keep up to date with products, industry developments and competitors.
- Reporting back to the team on successess.
- Create and send robust, detailed sponsorship contracts ensuring that all signatures are collected.
- Track and report on sponsorship/guides revenue.
- Be willing to travel, occasionally internationally, and to be out and about generating new business.
- Work with marketing, productions and operations to deliver events and to ensure what we sell is delivered
The Ideal Candidate:
- A track record in sponsorship or media sales with a top tier track record in selling sponsorship packages for conferences, awards ceremonies and/or media and advertising.
- You will have experience of generating new business as well as serving pre-existing clients.
- A solid sales process/previous sales training and will be exceptionally well-organised when it comes to managing and updating CRM systems as you go, and take a strategic focus to optimising revenue generation for each product you sell.
- You will be a 'naturally organised' person - i.e. it's simply part of the way you work and not something you need to make an effort to do.
- A social conscience and an ethical backbone will serve you well.

- Experience and connections within AI, the media, marketing/advertising and tech/ad tech industry will be an advantage.
The basic salary will be £40,000, which could go up to £70k with bonuses, depending on performance.
