Viking Engineering is growing, and we’re looking for a skilled Mechanical Plant Engineer / Fitter to help take our workshop to the next level.
We manufacture, refurbish and repair specialist road construction equipment, from bitumen boilers and sprayers to bespoke plant builds. The work is varied, practical and often requires someone who can think for themselves and find a solution.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
- Strip, rebuild and refurbish machinery to a high standard
- Work confidently with hydraulics, pumps and electrical systems
- Support our fabrication department when required
- Test your own work and take genuine pride in the finished result
You’ll need:
- Solid mechanical engineering / plant fitting experience
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- The ability to work independently and use your initiative
- High standards and pride in your work
This isn’t a role for someone who believes “that’ll do.” We’re building our reputation on quality, and we need someone who takes genuine pride in their work and wants to help us raise the standard. In return, we offer a flexible workplace where your ideas and opinions genuinely matter, and where you’ll be listened to and respected. Our people are at the heart of our business, and as we grow, we want to recognise and reward the people who have helped us get there.
