Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Fibre Engineer/Splicer to join our dynamic team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop technical skills in fibre optic installation, splicing, and maintenance within a fast-paced telecommunications environment.
Duties
- Assist experienced fibre engineers with the installation, splicing, and testing of fibre optic cables on existing legacy networks.
- Conduct routine inspections of installed cables and equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including splicing diagrams, test results, and site reports.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in understanding how equipment and infrastructure operate.
- Telecoms Experience.
- Ability to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail during installation and troubleshooting activities.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Pay: £25,420.00-£44,450.06 per year
