Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Builder / Multi-Trade professional to join our dynamic team, specializing in structural repairs, extensions, and loft conversions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that transform and enhance residential properties. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, a proactive attitude, and a broad skill set to deliver high-quality craftsmanship across multiple trades. You will play a vital role in constructing, repairing, and extending homes with precision and efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.
Duties
- Perform structural repairs including underpinning, wall reinforcement, and foundation work to ensure building stability and safety.
- Lead or assist in building extensions, ensuring seamless integration with existing structures and adherence to design specifications.
- Execute loft conversions by framing, insulating, plastering, and installing necessary fixtures to maximize usable space.
- Carry out carpentry tasks such as framing, door and window installation, and cabinetry.
- Conduct roofing work including tiling, felt roofing, guttering, and waterproofing to protect structures from weather elements.
- Apply construction painting techniques for interior and exterior surfaces to achieve durable finishes.
- Install plumbing systems, electrical wiring, masonry components, welding joints, and fabricate custom parts as needed using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with team members to plan project phases, ensure safety compliance, and meet project deadlines efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, masonry, plumbing or electrical work within residential construction projects.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels as well as power tools including drills, saws, grinders.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and fabrication processes for custom structural components.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and building plans accurately.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to multi-trade construction environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting on-site issues.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in carpentry, roofing or other trades are highly desirable but not mandatory.
