Dental Nurse / Trainee Dental Nurse Required for Busy Private Orthodontic Practice
Hours:
5 days per week (32.5 hours) with 1 hour for lunch. Hours may be negotiable.
Pay:
Pay dependent on qualifications & experience. We offer a fantastic bonus scheme.
Annual leave:
28 days pro rata
Applicant to have:
Level 3 Dental Nursing qualification or equivalent
Certificate in dental radiography (preferred, but not essential)
GDC registration
Hep B vaccinated
Experience working in Orthodontics (preferred, but not essential)
Experience working on reception
IT Skills
About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a dental nurse that has become available at Oxford Orthodontics Ltd. Although we are looking for a qualified nurse, we may consider a trainee.

About us:
Oxford Orthodontics Ltd is a 5 surgery, specialist practice. We are a fast-growing consultant led Specialist Orthodontic group that is a fully private practice with the latest iTero scanners and digital x rays.
What will you need to bring to the role?
· We are looking for someone to join our team who has a fantastic chair-side manner, who is hard-working, a true team player and who is trustworthy
· You must have a willingness to help the business reach its objectives and take on any extra duties that are within your ability
· You must be able to change between roles with ease, throughout the working day and cope well under pressure
· A bubbly, confident personality is key as you will engage with patients throughout the day
· Nursing duties will also include the taking of patient photographs and intra-oral scans using the iTero scanner (training will be provided).
Roles & responsibilities:
· You will follow all practice policies and procedures
· You will be required, if qualified, to take OPG & Ceph x-rays, when prescribed
· You will split your time at the practice between nursing and working on reception
· Reception work will involve running reports, booking appointments, completing patient finance applications and more (training will be provided), giving patients advice and money handling
· Experience working in orthodontics is preferred however, training will be provided
· Decontamination duties, of course, will also be included in your role
