We are looking for a skilled and reliable Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team.
You will play a key role in keeping customers safe by installing, servicing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to the highest standards.

This is a field‑based role with the requirement to travel to sites across the UK.
You will be responsible for:
- Servicing, inspecting and testing fire alarm systems in line with British Standards
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs to restore full system functionality
- Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems, panels, detectors, call points and associated cabling
- Maintaining accurate documentation (worksheets, asset registers)
- Providing recommendations for remedial quotes and system enhancements
- Maintaining a company van, tools and equipment to a high standard
- Working safely and in accordance to H&S legislation and company procedures
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience working with fire alarm systems
- Strong understanding of the relevant British Standards
- Confidence diagnosing faults and completing repairs independently
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- FIA or equivalent fire alarm training modules completed
- Experience with multiple fire alarm panel manufacturers
- Knowledge of emergency lighting systems
This role will require good English and maths skills and the successful candidate will need a clean DBS check.
Job Details:
- Full time with frequent overnight stays
- 42.5 hours per week including lunch
- £38,000 - £45,000 per year, depending on experience
- Location: Nationwide
