Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and hygienic handling of laundry within our establishment. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation, contributing to a welcoming environment for our guests. Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, and ironing machines safely and efficiently
- Ensure all laundry is cleaned, pressed, and folded to meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area at all times
- Assist with stock control by monitoring supplies of detergents and other cleaning agents
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents or contamination
- Record laundry activities accurately and report any damages or issues promptly
- Support other housekeeping duties as required to uphold overall cleanliness standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks and lift laundry items safely
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to operational procedures
