About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our growing team, working across a variety of construction sites in and around Kent.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team and has a strong understanding of groundworks and general construction activities. You will be involved in a range of projects, carrying out groundworks to a high standard while working safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out general groundworks across residential and commercial construction sites.
- Excavation, digging and preparation of foundations, trenches and drainage runs.
- Installing drainage, ducting, manholes and associated underground services.
- Concrete works, including preparing areas, pouring and finishing concrete.
- Kerbing, paving, slabs and other external works.
- Setting out and working from drawings and site instructions where required.
- Operating small plant and machinery where appropriately trained and authorised.
- Assisting with site preparation, earthworks and general groundwork activities.
- Ensuring work is completed to the required quality, specification and programme.
- Working closely with site managers, supervisors and other trades to keep projects progressing.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Following all company and site health and safety procedures at all times.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in groundworks within the construction industry.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider site team.
- Safety-conscious with a good understanding of construction site practices.
- Able to follow instructions and work to drawings and specifications.
- Flexible and willing to travel between sites across Kent and surrounding areas.
- Committed to producing high-quality work.
- A good communicator with a positive attitude.
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Groundworker is essential.
- Relevant CSCS card.
- CPCS/NPORS tickets (preffered by not essential).
- Experience with drainage, foundations, concreting and external works.
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
