Bespoke Security Sussex Ltd is a growing independent security company providing alarm, CCTV and security solutions to residential and commercial customers across Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller to support our busy office and take ownership of our invoicing and customer accounts.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone experienced in accounts who enjoys working independently and building a good understanding of a small business. The role will initially be approximately one day per week, with flexibility around working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising and issuing customer invoices using QuickBooks Online
- Ensuring completed works are invoiced promptly
- Reviewing outstanding invoices and managing the sales ledger
- Sending statements and payment reminders
- Professionally chasing overdue invoices by email and telephone
- Recording customer payment commitments and updating account notes
- Allocating payments received and keeping customer accounts accurate
- Identifying any invoice queries or issues requiring attention
- Providing regular updates on outstanding debts
- General accounts administration support
About You:
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in bookkeeping, accounts administration or credit control
- Has experience using QuickBooks Online (essential)
- Is confident communicating with customers professionally
- Has excellent attention to detail and organisation skills
- Can work independently and manage their own workload
- Understands the importance of timely invoicing and payment collection
Experience within a small business environment would be an advantage, as the role requires someone who is happy to be hands-on and become familiar with our customers and processes.
Pay: £6,000.00-£9,000.00 per year
