Role Purpose
Due to continued business growth Intocleaning - part of Intofacilities Ltd are seeking to appoint an Industrial Cleaning Manager / Industrial Cleaning Team Leader for overseeing and ensuring delivery of specialised cleaning operations across industrial, manufacturing, and commercial environments. This role requires a strong operational leader with deep knowledge of industrial cleaning methods, safety compliance, and technical project delivery.
The applicant must have experience of this nature, and live in the Gloucestershire area
You will manage a dedicated team and projects simultaneously, ensuring that Intofacilities cleaning’s high standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on working role.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Plan, coordinate, and manage specialist cleaning projects across industrial and commercial client sites.
- Working with the commercial Director to conduct detailed site visits and surveys and develop method statements, risk assessments, and work plans (RAMS).
- Supervise and work with on-site cleaning teams and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.
- Oversee the use and maintenance of specialist cleaning equipment ensuring the right equipment is serviced, working correctly and onsite at the right time ready for job commencement.
- Manage job/project schedules, and resources to achieve on-time, cost-effective delivery and are delivered against budget and costings.
- Liaise with customers/clients onsite and ensure complete customer satisfaction, getting customer sign-off at job completion.
- Working closely with the Commercial and Scheduling team and communicating progress and any deviation from plan if and as it occurs.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH, RAMs, and Working at Height regulations.
- Lead site safety briefings, toolbox talks, and conduct safety audits regularly.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and promote a culture of zero harm.
- Implement and uphold Intocleaning’s environmental and sustainability policies.
Client Management and Quality Assurance
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and professional project delivery.
- Carry out quality inspections and generate completion reports and improvement recommendations.
- Resolve client concerns promptly, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
Team and Resource Management
- Oversee, supervise and train/mentor specialist cleaning operatives.
- Plan team resource, manage performance, and oversee team competency and required certifications.
- Ensure correct PPE and equipment are available and maintained to operational standards.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in industrial or specialist cleaning management.
- Demonstrable experience managing large-scale or high-risk cleaning operations.
- IPAF and CSCS certification preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
Desirable Attributes
- Experience with hazardous waste management and chemical cleaning.
- Familiarity with ISO standards: 9001 (Quality), 14001 (Environmental), 45001 (Health & Safety).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in demanding environments.
