Qualified Industrial Painter
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Industrial Painter to join our busy fabrication shop. The successful candidate will be competent in all aspects of surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and industrial coating application. They must be confident working to project specifications and quality requirements while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in industrial painting within a fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment.
- Competent in all blasting and painting processes, including surface preparation, abrasive blasting, coating application, and coating inspections.
- Ability to interpret coating specifications, technical data sheets, and paint manufacturers' requirements.
- Thorough understanding of relevant industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g. ISO, SSPC/NACE, and client-specific specifications).
- Experience working with a range of protective coating systems for structural steel and fabricated components.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, and productivity in a fast-paced workshop environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
