Melo World is looking for a Sign Production Operative & Installer to join our growing team.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll help manufacture our bespoke Visual Management Boards, signs and communication products in our production area before assisting with the installation of finished products at customer sites.
No previous sign-fitting experience? No problem. If you're practical, reliable, detail-focused and willing to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to develop your skills.

Melo World is a specialist provider of Visual Management and 5S solutions, helping organisations across the UK improve communication, organisation and continuous improvement.
We design and manufacture bespoke visual communication products that help businesses transform their workplaces and make information clearer, more accessible and more effective.
As a member of our team, you'll play a hands-on role in bringing these products to life-from production in our workshop through to installation at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
· Preparing, assembling and finishing visual boards, signs and other products.
· Operating and maintaining production equipment, including printers, laminators and cutters.
· Measuring, trimming, mounting and applying graphics and materials.
· Preparing products, tools and equipment for installation.
· Assisting with loading and unloading materials safely.
· Supporting the installation of products at customer premises.
· Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
· Carrying out quality checks before products leave the workshop and after installation.
· Maintaining a clean, organised and safe production area.
· Following company health and safety procedures, including appropriate PPE and site requirements.
· Completing occasional deliveries using a company vehicle
What We're Looking For
We're more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude than someone who already knows everything about sign fitting.
You will ideally be:
· Practical and hands-on.
· Detail-oriented and proud of producing high-quality work.
· Comfortable using hand tools.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work to deadlines.
· Able to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing requirements.
· A positive and collaborative team player.
· Comfortable working independently when required.
· Professional and confident when dealing with customers.
· Willing to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
· Flexible to occasionally work early starts or later finishes for customer installations.
Essential Requirements
· Full UK driving licence.
· Good practical skills and a willingness to learn.
· Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions and procedures.
Desirable, But Not Essential
· Previous experience in signage, print, manufacturing, fitting or a similar practical role.
· Experience using printers, laminators, cutters or production machinery.
· IPAF certification.

Working Hours
Full-time, Permanent
Normal working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Flexibility for occasional early starts or later finishes may be required to support customer installations.
Work location: In person, with travel to customer sites as required.
