Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across various commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Carry out basic carpentry work related to system installation or repair projects.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely, adhering to manual handling guidelines.
- Assist with assembly of components for new installations or upgrades.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used for each project.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised, complying with health and safety standards.
- Drive company vehicles as required for site visits or procurement purposes (where applicable).
Skills
- Proficient in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
- Experience with welding and the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to heating systems and associated components.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting.
- Competent in carpentry tasks relevant to system fitting or modifications.
- Knowledge of commercial driving regulations (desirable).
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision or collaboratively within a team environment.
