Purpose of the Role
To build and maintain positive relationships with churches, and identify opportunities to develop new church connections that support the charity's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with existing church partners through emails, phone calls, and occasional visits.
- Identify and research new churches that may be interested in supporting the charity.
- Introduce the charity to potential church partners through meetings, presentations, or correspondence.
- Communicate fundraising campaigns, volunteering opportunities, and charity events.
- Keep accurate records of church contacts, conversations, and partnership activities.
- Encourage churches to participate in fundraising, collections, awareness events, and volunteering opportunities.
- Represent the charity professionally and in line with its values.
Skills and Experience
- Friendly and confident communicator.
- Good relationship-building skills.
- Organised with good record-keeping abilities.
- Comfortable using email and spreadsheets.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, church communities and their role in supporting charities.
Time Commitment
Approximately 2–6 hours per week, with flexibility to suit the volunteer's availability.
Occasional attendance at church events, or meetings, including some evenings or weekends if convenient.
Support and Training
- An induction to the charity.
- Ongoing support from the designated staff member.
- Training on the charity's work and safeguarding where required.
- Reimbursement of agreed volunteer expenses where applicable.

Pay: £0.01-£0.02 per year
