Temporary Painter & Decorator – Forest Fields Nursery Refurbishment
About Us
Little Plums Nursery is a growing group of children's nurseries across the East Midlands. We are currently renovating a new nursery in Forest Fields, Nottingham, and are looking for a reliable Painter & Decorator to help us prepare the building ready for opening.
This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on progress and workload.
The Role
We are looking for someone with painting and decorating experience who can help refresh and prepare our new nursery building.
Duties will include:
- Preparing walls, ceilings, doors and woodwork for painting
- Filling holes, sanding and making good surfaces where required
- Applying emulsion, gloss and other suitable finishes
- Protecting floors, fixtures and fittings during work
- Keeping the work area clean and tidy
- Carrying out minor decorating-related repairs where needed
- Working safely and following basic health and safety requirements
What We Are Looking For
- Previous painting and decorating experience
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and complete work to a high standard
- Reliable and punctual
- Own tools preferred
- Ability to communicate in English and follow instructions

Contract
Temporary contract (approximately 2–4 weeks)
Hours
Flexible, to be agreed. Full-time hours available.
Pay
Competitive rate, depending on experience. Self-employed contractors are welcome to apply.
