Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our pizza team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and inspiring the team to achieve excellence in all aspects of food preparation and service. Specifically the Pizza section.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
- Oversee all aspects of food production, from menu development to final presentation, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Manage food preparation processes, ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of dishes.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen operations.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control costs without compromising quality.
- Train and mentor staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and service standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Innovate new menu items in line with current trends and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation at all times.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
- Extensive food production knowledge with a strong background in culinary arts.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Proficient in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills.
- Solid experience in hospitality or restaurant settings with a focus on high-quality service.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to organise multiple tasks efficiently.
- Deep understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Experience in serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
Pay: £50,000.00 per year
