Looking for experienced HGV class 1 drivers..
Due to continued growth and expansion Freight Force Distribution require Class 1 tramper drivers for our contract fleet working from Attleborough. Collecting palletised eggs from UK farms on set runs over a couple of days. This is fridge box work and you will be required to operate an electric pallet truck. The collections are all self load and times are flexible.
What we offer
- £15:30 per hour (First 10 hours)
- £15.45 per hour (After 10 hours)
- Plus £10 meal allowance per day (for shifts exceeding 10 hours)
- Bonus £38.61 per week
- Nights Out: £26.20 per night
- 45mins Break will be deducted from each shift
What does the role involve?
- Operating a refrigerated trailer and electric pallet truck
- Building working relationships with farm managers to ensure a smooth process
- At the farms you will be completing relevant paperwork and loading the eggs from the fridge store. A full run can consist of up to 28 pallets, visiting between 4-8 farms per day on a twice weekly rotation
- Once back at the factory, you will then unload the pallets and use the in-house booking system to record details
- Re-loading the trailer with packaging to keep stock levels at the farms correct
- Conduct vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Occasional overnight stay in truck may be advantageous.Paid training is only provided should you start the role. You will go out with a mentored driver to ensure you are fully equipped and happy to take on the role required.
