MC Truck & Bus Ltd (part of the MC Group) is a successful and established truck dealer in the South of England. We operate multi-franchised dealer points alongside a dynamic rental business.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Stock Controller specialising in Truck Parts to manage our parts inventory, systems, and processes across multiple sites within our region. You will predominantly be based at head office (Maidstone, Kent). Travel to our other depots from time to time is essential (Hythe, Burgess Hill, Witham, Thurrock and Southampton), for which a pool car will be provided. Your role will be to ensure we optimise our parts operations, manage and control our Core Management System, and ensure compliance with our key processes and systems.
You will work closely with depot teams, suppliers, and management to maintain accurate stock levels, improve processes, and support operational excellence across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor and control transactions within the Core Management System
- Ensure accurate stock control, auditing, and reporting procedures are maintained
- Reduce stock discrepancies, obsolescence, and write-offs
- Support depot teams with stock-related queries and best practices
- Implement and improve stock control processes and systems
- Conduct site visits to ensure compliance and consistency
About You
- Previous experience in a stock control or inventory management role, ideally within HGV, automotive, or parts environments
- Knowledge of truck parts will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of parts supply chains and inventory systems
- Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across multiple sites
- Proficient in stock management systems and Microsoft Excel
- Full UK driving licence (regional travel required)
