Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and offering assistance as needed.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all requests are communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards during food preparation and serving.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing bills accurately.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Experience in food preparation or kitchen roles is an advantage.
- Culinary experience is beneficial for understanding menu items and ingredients.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
