Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers and Health Care Assistants to provide high-quality care to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and be committed to delivering person-centred care. Experience in care environments and driving licences are desirable but not essential. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while working within a supportive team.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support clients with daily living activities according to individual care plans
- Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental well-being
- supporting client with challenging behaviour, 1:1, 2:1 or as need arises.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client conditions
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care needs
- Follow health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Support clients with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with light domestic tasks within the client's home or care setting
- Use IT systems to update records and communicate relevant information efficiently
- Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring their safety at all times
Requirements
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- IT literacy skills for maintaining accurate documentation and communication
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- Reliable, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
