Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position requires a passion for culinary arts and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and specifications.
- Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Help with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in the kitchen.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
