Senior Sales Development – Plastic Moulding & Returnable Packaging
Location: Bishop Auckland
Salary: £35000 - £40000 depending on experience + Competitive Bonus

About the Role
We are a leading manufacturer of plastic moulded products and returnable packaging solutions, supplying customers across a range of industries. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an ambitious and motivated Sale Development Representative to join our commercial team.
Reporting directly to the head of commercial, you will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, developing new customer accounts, and supporting the growth of existing accounts. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, creating opportunities, and delivering results.
Guidance hours are 8:30 till 5pm Mon till Thurs, 8:30 till 14:30 Friday.
This is a salaried role that requires a level of flexibility across the working week.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within target markets and industries.
- Generate and qualify sales leads through prospecting, networking, and customer engagement.
- Develop internal sales procedures.
- Build strong relationships with potential customers and key decision-makers.
- Support the growth and development of existing customer accounts.
- Work closely with customers to understand their packaging, moulding and operational requirements.
- Promote the company's plastic moulding and returnable packaging solutions.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales presentations.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately report activity through the CRM system.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to the company's growth objectives.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in Sales development, account management, or a customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience within manufacturing, plastics, packaging, logistics, or industrial sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercially aware with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
- Self-motivated, organised, and target driven.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
