Salary: £35,000–£42,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on Accountant to take full ownership of the restaurant's day-to-day and year-end finances. You will be the sole finance point of contact on site, so you should be comfortable working independently across the full accounting cycle, from daily revenue reconciliation through to statutory year-end reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile daily and weekly revenue across POS, cash, card and delivery platforms against bank statements
- Maintain full sets of accounts — purchase/sales ledgers, journals, month-end close
- Process monthly payroll and submit RTI to HMRC (PAYE, NI, pensions/auto-enrolment)
- Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns under Making Tax Digital (MTD)
- Prepare year-end financial statements and liaise with external accountants and HMRC on annual accounts and corporation tax
- Manage supplier payments, cash flow and basic management reporting
Requirements
- AAT-qualified, part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA), or equivalent proven experience
- Solid hands-on experience with UK payroll, VAT returns and HMRC filings
- Fluent Chinese (Mandarin) and confident professional English (written and spoken) — the role requires liaising with both Chinese management and UK authorities/suppliers
- Proficiency with accounting software (Xero / QuickBooks / Sage) and Excel
- Right to work in the UK
- Hospitality / F&B accounting experience is a plus
