Curio food co is a well established independent restaurant focused on bold, flavour driven comfort food. Our menu takes inspiration from American and Asian street food, with a focus on creative burgers, steaks and small plates.

The Role
We are looking for a driven Chef de Partie to join our opening team. You will take ownership of a section during service, helping deliver high quality food at speed in a busy food hall environment.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast paced kitchens and wants to be part of a new opening with real momentum.
Key responsibilities
Food and menu
- Deliver our core menu to a high standard
- Contribute ideas for specials and menu development
- Ensure smooth and organised service
Kitchen operations
- Supplier ordering and stock control
- Help manage food cost and minimise waste
- Maintain high hygiene standards and food safety compliance
- Ensure the kitchen remains organised and efficient
- Run a designated section during service (grill, assembly, or prep)
- Cook and present dishes consistently to spec and within service times
- Support prep and mise en place for service
- Maintain high food hygiene and cleanliness standards at all times
- Work efficiently during busy service periods while staying organised
- Communicate clearly with the team during service
- Assist with stock rotation, deliveries, and waste control
- Follow all food safety procedures (HACCP)
What We’re Looking For
- Experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis ready to step up
- Confident working in a fast-paced service environment
- Comfortable on grill or high-volume sections
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Genuine passion for good food
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience with burgers, steak, or street food concepts
- Previous food hall or high volume kitchen experience
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certification

Pay: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
