About the Role
Gables Pharmacy is looking for a friendly, reliable and trustworthy Pharmacy Delivery Driver to join our team.
You will be responsible for delivering prescription medicines safely and efficiently to patients in the local community. As you will often be the face of the pharmacy when visiting our patients, we are looking for someone who is polite, professional and committed to providing excellent customer service.
This role would suit someone who is dependable, organised and comfortable driving locally and interacting with a wide range of patients.
Main Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Delivering prescription medicines to patients safely and promptly.
- Planning and following an efficient delivery route.
- Checking deliveries carefully before leaving the pharmacy.
- Ensuring prescriptions are handed to the correct patient or authorised person.
- Obtaining signatures or completing delivery records where required.
- Returning any undelivered prescriptions safely to the pharmacy.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
- Communicating professionally and respectfully with patients and their families.
- Informing the pharmacy team promptly of any delivery issues or concerns.
- Following all pharmacy procedures relating to the safe transportation and delivery of medicines.
- Assisting the pharmacy team with general duties when required.

Requirements
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Good knowledge of Holbrooks, Coventry and the surrounding areas is desirable.
- Previous delivery driving experience is helpful but not essential.
- Previous pharmacy experience is not required, as appropriate training will be provided.
- Applicants must be comfortable handling and transporting prescription medicines responsibly.
