We're recruiting on behalf of a leading offshore services provider for a Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Aberdeen on a temporary to permanent contract. Working under the Workshop Lead, you'll carry out repairs, inspections, and fabrication work on offshore CCUs and tanks to DNV 2.7-1 standards. This role suits candidates with strong welding and fabrication skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely and independently.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Carry out repairs to offshore CCUs and tanks
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU
- Document trip inspection (includes electronically)
- Carry out visual inspection on all CCUs (including inspection of lifting gear)
- Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
Applicants to this role require
- Prior welding experience
- Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD016)
- Basic fabrication experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7-1
