Location: Gordale Garden Centre
Hours: Part-time/Full-time, up to five days, including one weekend day.
Pay: £12.71 per hour, rising with service.

Role Overview
As a Garden Centre Assistant (Outdoor Lifestyle), you will have a varied role that includes both shop floor and warehouse responsibilities. You will work across our garden furniture, clothing, Christmas, and interiors departments, ensuring a fantastic shopping experience for our customers while also supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Shop Floor Duties:
- Develop in-depth knowledge of garden furniture, BBQs, clothing, Christmas, and interior products.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, offering advice and recommendations.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling seasonal displays, including the Christmas department.
- Ensure stock is correctly priced, attractively displayed, and rotated regularly.
- Promote Gordale’s loyalty card to enhance the customer experience.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of sales areas.
- Stay vigilant for shoplifting and alert managers to any concerns.
Warehouse & Stock Management Duties:
- Receive, check, and store deliveries accurately, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Assist in moving stock from the warehouse to the shop floor efficiently and safely.
- Ensure the warehouse and back-of-house areas remain clean, safe, and organised.
- Handle goods carefully to reduce breakages and minimise packaging waste.
- Support stocktaking and inventory management processes.
- Complete daily checklists and report any issues to management.

Working Hours
Both part-time and full-time candidate will be considered for this role working up to five days, including one weekend day. Additional hours may be available during peak periods. Please confirm in your letter of application your preference of part or full time hours.
