Green Energy Fuel Limited is looking for an experienced and proactive Fixed Plant Engineer to join our maintenance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in keeping plant equipment operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring maximum plant uptime through planned preventative maintenance and rapid response to breakdowns.

The Role
As a Fixed Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving fixed plant equipment to ensure the smooth operation of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on fixed plant and equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
- Responding promptly to plant breakdowns and carrying out effective repairs.
- Inspecting equipment and identifying potential issues before they become failures.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing work documentation.
- Working closely with the operations team to maximise plant performance.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Assisting with plant improvements, installations, and maintenance projects where required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a fixed plant maintenance or engineering role.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to breakdowns.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to health and safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Electrical fault-finding experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Experience working within recycling, biomass, waste management, manufacturing, aggregates, or other heavy industrial environments.
- Relevant engineering qualifications or recognised apprenticeship.
