Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents and clients
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families regarding care needs and progress
- Support with light domestic tasks within care environments, including cleaning and organising communal areas
- Drive or accompany residents on outings or appointments as required (driving skills advantageous)
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to operate IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving travel or community outings
- Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to follow care plans accurately
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary
