Overview
We are seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our small company. ensuring accurate financial records and supporting smooth business operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Sage accounting software programmes and a strong understanding of accounts payable processes.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using recognised Sage accounting software
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered into the system
- Assist with preparing financial reports and statements as required
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain organised filing systems for financial documents and correspondence
- Collaborate with external accountants during audits or financial reviews
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies
Experience
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar finance role, preferably within small to medium-sized organisations
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and external partners
