Job description
We're looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our growing team at Tradewinds Oriental Shop.
This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for accurately picking, packing and dispatching customer orders to both retail and wholesale customers across the UK. You'll also assist with goods in, stock control and maintaining a clean, organised warehouse.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and enjoys working as part of a busy team. Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders to a high standard.
- Prepare parcels and pallets for daily dispatch.
- Unload deliveries and check goods against delivery documentation.
- Book stock into the warehouse and report any shortages or damages.
- Put stock away in the correct warehouse locations.
- Rotate stock and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Replenish picking locations to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
- Assist with loading vehicles and preparing wholesale orders.
- Work closely with the office team to ensure customer orders are dispatched on time.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse.
- Follow company procedures and Health & Safety requirements at all times.
- Undertake any other reasonable warehouse duties as required.

- Is physically fit and comfortable lifting and moving stock.

- Has good communication skills.
- Previous warehouse, picking and packing or goods-in experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
- A forklift licence or experience operating warehouse equipment would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.

Location: Scunthorpe
Working Hours:
- 5 days per week between Monday and Saturday.
- Daytime hours.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred).
- Previous warehouse experience (preferred).
- Full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Forklift licence (preferred).
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
