About Police Now
We are working towards a day when every community, whatever the socio-economic background of its residents, can thrive without being fearful of crime. We are looking for talented, committed and mission-aligned individuals who will drive us towards achieving our ambitions.
Police Now recruits and trains graduates and career changers with leadership potential to become inspirational police officers and outstanding crime fighters on our National Graduate Programme. Graduates can pursue a variety of specialisms working in Neighbourhood Policing, as a Detective or within Counter Terrorism or Economic Crime units.
Police Now aims to create systemic change. We need highly capable impactful staff to support the recruitment and development of our officers and to cultivate strong relationships with partner forces and the wider sector.
The purpose of your role
We’re looking for a Selection Lead to join our award-winning team, to be responsible for driving innovative and rigorous selection and assessment activity for Police Now’s National Graduate Programme that will enable us to achieve our ambitious mission.
You will lead on all selection activity for our programme, delivering high-quality and best practice assessment alongside providing an inspiring and engaging candidate experience. This will involve the 360-selection lifecycle, from planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation. We deal with a high volume of candidates, so you’ll bring a solutions-focused approach to how we can maximise our efficiency and be smart with our time, including how we can ensure value for money in our delivery. You’ll be passionate about supporting underrepresented groups through the candidate journey, and will continually strive for parity across all demographics, creating interventions and considering positive action where appropriate.
You will manage day-to-day relationships with partnered suppliers, fostering creativity and collaboration, ensuring project timelines are met to a high standard. You will also line manage one direct report, supporting and guiding them to deliver an exceptional level of candidate care.
You’ll be a self-starter, able to confidently work independently on new projects, designing content, piloting fresh approaches, and using data and evaluation to inform future developments and improvements, driving innovation for our team. There is true scope to own your areas of responsibility, with support and guidance from our Recruitment Delivery Manager, giving you the opportunity to bring your knowledge and experience to the role and show your creative flair.
