Groveland Park is a 55 bed Luxury Residential care home rated Outstanding. We are looking for a kitchen assistant to assist the chef with providing high quality nutritious meals, general kitchen duties including washing up, preparation of vegetables.

Key Responsibilities;
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- To assist the Cook with the preparation of varied nutritious meals for the residents.
- Help with the serving of meals for residents, be understanding of any specific food requirements and ensure everyone is treated with respect, dignity and given choice.
- To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements
such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, EnvironmentalHealth, to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.
- To clean and tidy all areas of the kitchen with the correct products
following instruction and guidance contained in the cleaningschedules ensuring The home is always cleaned to the higheststandards.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order,
immediately report any faults to the Cook and the Caretaker.
- To receive and unload new stock, store appropriately and rotate
current stock correctly to maintain optimum freshness of allfoodstuff.
- To work as an integral part of the team, contribute to meetings
and training sessions as required ensuring that The homeis a friendly and supportive working environment.
- All concerns regarding possible abuse of a vulnerable adult must be reported immediately, to the person in charge, who will report to the board of directors. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Schedule:
- Mixture of 4 hours (10.30 - 14.30) and 10 hour (9.00 - 19.00) day shifts.
- Week 1- 2 x 4 hour shift.
- Week 2 - 1 x 10 hour shift and 2 x 4 hour shift.
- Occasional weekend overtime to help cover annual leave.
